| Bob Warner has just been appointed as the William R. and Lenore Mote Eminent Scholar Chair in Fisheries Ecology and Enhancement for 2006-2007. The award is made by Florida State University and Mote Marine Laboratory. Bob will be the sixth recipient - it's an international award, having gone to some impressive people in the US, Argentina, and Canada.
Bill Murdoch has just been selected as the winner of the 2005 Distinguished Scientist Award, given by the International Organization for Biological Control, Nearctic Regional Section in recognition of his long-term contributions to the discipline. He will receive the award at the ESA National Meeting in November.
James Childress has been awarded the prestigious Cody Award in Ocean Sciences from Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Jim Reichman, UCSB professor and director of UCSB's National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS), has been honored with two national awards: the 2004 Distinguished Service Citation from the Ecological Society of America and the premier research award in mammalogy, the C.
